Technology Solutions for Work Support

Apple and other handheld devices are used in meetings, interviews, remote and immediate communication, for task cueing, video modeling, as timers, schedulers, calming solutions, and more.  Employees and students with a wide range of abilities, including individuals with high support needs, can experience greater success at the workplace using technology, many times alleviating the need for support from another person or trainer.  This workshop will review the use of handheld devices, as demonstrated on an Apple iPad, to support workers with disabilities to negotiate and complete job tasks, schedules and other demands of the workplace.  

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to

  1. Identify areas where technology may be helpful in the workplace. 
  2. Describe applications and/or programs that create options for use of technology.
  3. Initiate use of a technology that may be helpful to a supported employee.
