Vocational Strategies for Specific Disabilities: Traumatic Brain Injury

This online training is an introductory course to vocational strategies and evidence-based practices rehabilitation professionals can use when working with clients with traumatic brain injury.  An overview will describe characteristics and conditions that accompany head injury, then explore functional limitations and the implications for employment. Strategies for assessment, job placement and accommodations to obtain the employment outcome are presented.

Objectives:

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the impact of head injury on intellectual, emotional, and behavioral performance.
  • Identify assessment strategies to collect and confirm information to result in a positive job match.   
  • Determine effective training and skill acquisition strategies to enhance the work outcome.
