Samantha S-Chance

Samantha is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) with a master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of North Texas. She is currently employed by UNT WISE as a Senior Program Project Coordinator to assist Individuals with disabilities reach their employment goals.

Before her current role, Samantha worked with Denton MHMR's LIDDA as the Crisis Intervention Supervisor, where she supported Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with accessing state and community resources to seek stabilization. With Samantha's background with Texas Medicaid Waiver programs, Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) group homes, State Supported Living Centers (SSLC), guardianship and other least restrictive alternatives, she has been able to support Individuals and their support circles with tailoring services to thrive in their community in a meaningful way. While with Denton County MHMR, Samantha was a member of the Community Resource Collaboration Group (CRCG) where she collaborated with youth and their families on community services options. Samantha also served as a member of Denton MHMR's Zero Suicide Task Force aimed to prevent suicide within the community. 

Outside of work, Samantha enjoys reading, gardening, and collecting vinyl records.
