Live & Learn
The Live & Learn Summer Program is a two-week experience for young adults with disabilities (ages 14-22) who are preparing for life after high school and exploring career paths.

Designed for indivduals who already have basic independent living skills, the program helps participants strengthen those abilities while building social, recreational, and vocational skills. Whether aiming for entry-level, skilled, or professional roles, participants gain practical insights into the adult world of work.

  • Session 1: 5/24/26 - 6/5/26
  • Session 2: 6/7/26 - 6/19/26
  • Session 3: 7/5/26 - 7/17/26
College WISE
College WISE is a one-week summer program for young adults with disabilities (ages 14-22) who are considering post-secondary education.

Participants explore the expectations of community colleges and four-year universities while building on existing independent living skills. Through engaging activities, they develop the social, recreational, and academic skills needed to succeed in higher education.

STEM Career Explorers
The UNT WISE STEM Career Explorers Summer Program is a one (1) week summer programs for young adults with disabilities, ages 14-22, interested in pursuing a career within the STEM fields.

These day programs are designed for students with little to no previous exposure to the STEM fields but who have an interest in exploration within these STEM fields.

Participants engage in a variety of hands on learning to actively explore various careers within the STEM fields.

VIRTUAL Pre-ETS Transition Program
The UNT WISE Virtual Transition Program assists young adults with disabilities, ages 14-22, to develop vocational skills, independent living skills, and social & recreation skills through an intensive virtual training program.

The Virtual Transition Program is a six (6) week program for participants interested in vocational planning and/or post-secondary education for their future.

This program opens the door to the realities of the adult world of work and living, all in an online learning environment.

Transition Summits
UNT WISE hosts Transition Summits at various times and locations throughout the state year-round. Each summit generally includes multiple breakout sessions designed to introduce concepts to students on exploring careers, postsecondary education options, and the skills necessary to be successful as students transition out of high school.
